Re: Framlingham 11-13th October 2019.

Thanks chaps. It all went very well, and two hard fought battles. Despite missing absent friends we got lucky with a new friend in John who is clearly a chap of like mind to us all. Paul will be pleased to know that John's Danish army upheld the ferocious and victorious reputation of Scandywegia.

What time are we assembling this afternoon?
Off the top of my head, 17.30 to get the tables sorted out. 19.15 for eats. RV in the Crown bar.

Re: Ayton 2020 - Sunday 18th Century Game

I don’t mind if we play R&F. Every Ayton game I’ve played, we’ve made it up as we went along, so it doesn’t really matter So what you're saying is that as far as EB will know we're playing it, when in reality we'll be using a decent set of rules? You're playing with fire and tempting fat...

But we all know it will be Rank and File
There will be a fair and open review of all the options.
Only then will Rank and File be confirmed.
I'm not ruling out Shot Steel and Stone.

I have just sorted my activation & disorder markers for A Gentleman's War. I shall use Victorian halfpennies to mark activated units and I intend to represent Disorder with old French postage stamps.
Surprisingly appropropriate, as you will discover.

Re: The Pointy Stick thread

I suppose I'd better come clean and confess that I am building up two armies for pointy sticks, very loosely based around the Battle of Trimsos and the wars of Tony Bath's Hyboria. So they will be sort of Arabish and Late Romanish, with weird and wonderful allies. All figures bought, GB plastic Lat...
