Numidians finished. Just a couple of velites to finish and I've done all the lighter side of a Republican Roman army I have on a slow burn project. These were a Christmas present from Auntie Viv in 2019 who told me no one would bother getting me anything I wanted once I became a Dad. She wasn't far ...

I don't drink these days but was gifted a couple of local ales today so poured a toast to Graham over some numidians I'm finishing before the Ayton panic painting starts.

Yes, but a skirmishing pike.

Personally I would field as Gallopers if no other choice. Pikepersons Lament has the same distinction of horse units, which I find a bit simplistic for the period if you're covering more Eastern types too.
