Re: teaching an old dog new tricks

Well done, Curly, and what splendid warriors. I played Saga for the first time a couple of weeks back. Very impressive game. Iain Pleased to hear you enjoyed it. For such a simple game it has a depth of complexity that only becomes more apparent each time you play. I really enjoy it.

Re: I do like to be beside the Zee side

The coastline looks great and the buildings are fantastic too. I bought a load of 3mm Napoleonics for use in combined ops with 1:1200 ships. I have two small armies and about two or three times as much again unpainted! Interesting, I bought a shitload of these but decided they were too detailed for...

Re: Pendraken's 2019 Releases!

Oh Dear
I hear the flutter of butterfly wings again. I felt much the same when I first saw Jacklex 20mm colonials in the days when I couldn't afford them.

I do like to be beside the Zee side

Hi folks decided to give my imaginations inland sea a coastline. finished about 12 feet so far. I think it came out ok but unfortunately thoughts of haircurler troops in combined ops are disturbing my peace. Lots more on the blog at https://flownlegions.blogspot.com/2019/08/i-do-like-to-be-beside-ze...

teaching an old dog new tricks

Been a while since I could post here as I forgot my password and the site steadfastly refused to send me a password till today (hoping it was nothing personal heheh) Well my enjoyment of Saga still has me at the enthusiastic stage. Recently our "local" group held a crusades themed tourname...

(Nice cavalry, though.)

Lovely girl is Alice but when it comes to Arthur she seems to be thick as pig shit. :moredrink:

Re: I had these horses.....

many thanks for the comments guys . was the cream on the milk for a project aimed at me enjoying modelling and painting rather than a rush to the wargames table. Grizz I'm short on inspiration for gaming subjects in my preferred scales at the moment..

of course there was a round table

Just got round to taking photos of my Arthurian cavalry for SAGA. This was quite a saga in itself. I may just possibly have finished more than I originally planned for. Not to waste space here I have detailed the great adventure on my blog at https://flownlegions.blogspot.com/2019/01/the-round-table...

I had these horses.....

After my last personal indulgence in building a Romano British infantry force for the pleasure of building and painting rather than just for gaming, I found it so enjoyable I went on to make some cavalry. With a box each of GB late Romans and dark age cavalry plus all the bits from the infantry boxes...

Re: This may take some explaining..

Traitor ! COTOTS is watching you ! Yes, a burning at the stake is definitely called for. Lovely figures too, w'll have to confiscate them at the trial. Nah no worries this was just a mild aberration. I'm kind of being drawn to 10mm colonial. I've long loved the old 20mm Jackson figures but recognis...
