Re: What's on your workbench?

Alas nothing for my workbench is being packed away in advance of hordes of builders descending on my mansion, My workspace is a cellar and it really needs tanking and waterproofing....

This does mean I've ascertained the size of my lead pile.

So long as I live another 3 centuries, it's manageable.

Re: Surviving the Fram flood.

Sorry to hear that Tim - I didn't think East Anglia was hit that bad... my parents reported nothing out of the ordinary. A quick check of the news shows how wrong I was....

I hope the enforced refurb goes as well as can be expected. Nothing worse than water.

Re: Little Big Man decals

I've never understood why they simply don' make them waterslide and why they insist the customer has to cut the middle out of a tiny 28mm decal for the shield boss.

Being clumsy as hell that's why I avoid them which is a shame because they look wonderful.

Regarding the reactivation thing.... so far as I know that's a habit of some Army Painter Speed Paints rather than the Workshop contrast ones.

Re: Blondes have more fun?

Am experimenting with contrast paints myself. Wyldwood works well at 28mm for British battledress.....

Got any hints on contrasts and horses?

Warlord deliberately ensure their figures aren't compatible with anything else from what I can tell.....

It's the only reason for their eclectic choice of scales.

Re: What are people buying?

I had never heard of him, and his website isn't exactly informative.

But I shall look forward to having a look when the on-line shop opens 'in August'...

Whatever happened to 4Ground. I saw they went broke but is there a story there?

Re: Cigarette Cards

Well I spent the day listing them, having invested in a trade catalogue. It seems anything by John Player or Wills is worth buttons but fortunately, being East Anglian, there's a fair few Churchmans cards which go for considerably higher sums apparently. I won't get rich but there's enough to make i...
