Re: Surviving the Fram flood.

Just a quickie whilst I still can. Firstly thanks to all for offers of help, it is so much appreciated. The insurance process has now kicked in and I found it very satisfying to remove all the sodden carpets this morning. We are slowly rescuing stuff that we can, but the insurance cover is going to ...

We are going to be evacuating the house tonight, and it is likely to be six month...

I've just an appointment through for a scan on my (hopefully still) benign brain tumour...luckily it's for the monday after Ayton....if it had been the friday it would have made things difficult.
That's something else to keep my fingers crossed for then.

Re: Ayton 3rd-5th May, 2024

So, Gary and I have agreed that we will quietly withdraw the offer to run an 18thC game. It's a lot of lugging stuff about and the idea never really sparked any great enthusiasm (which isn't to say that Andy's and Peeler's enthusiasm wasn't very enthusiastic). My weekend will now be spent playing T...

Grandson of Babbington Nolan, a corporal in the 13th Light Dragoons who "came into some money" around the same time as the post-Vittoria sacking of King Joseph's baggage train, and used it to buy a commission for Louis Nolan's father. And the rest, as they say, is history. Including Louis...

Re: Ayton 2024

You may already know but Hotel is sunning himself on some desert island at the moment - I doubt he'll be keeping up to date with LAW chats. E I'm now back in the UK as of today, and it's true I have not kept up to date with all this chat. I have been giving it some thought though, and I am minded t...
