I had an excellent day trip over to Ayton. I played plucky little Belgium's and they were certainly plucked by a combination of Paul and Jeremy.

I looked to be holding courtesy of the farmers daughter, who stop all troops fighting with 12" of her while they admired her charms.

Jeremy however had an all female unit , and being immune to the farmers daughter charms, gunned my Belgium's down in a hail of bullets.

What a corkingly good weekend, good gaming in good company.
I was most impressed by Purps anti tank sticky cum bomb which was thrown accurately whilst galloping on horseback and by Andys glider which landed without a risk of danger perfectly safely on a hillside whilst avoiding the castle and which has been directed in by spotters who had survived, without risk, a whole night in the castle despite the Harridens and ghouls which live there. 🤔
I think I may have mentioned how impressed I was at the time. 😄
Along with all that fin and laughter, the terrain was awesome, the model buildings even better. And it all played out very well.
Thanks to you all, esp Simon for organising the game and to Purps for the village hall model itself.
Roll on next year. 😁

If they started in 2010. I think you'll find that you just played in the tenth year........

Really? I could have sworn it was 2010, because 2011 would mean that it was only a year older than our conservatory.

If next year really is Number 10, I shall have to make an effort to attend. The Baroness is not gong to like this.....

That was a great weekend. Special thanks to GM for organising a cracking set of games and to Purps & LT for superb terrain and buildings - absolutely show quality. Oh, and to Dave for massacring me twice - 6 machine guns against Martini Henry rifles and lances. I might as well have brought Zulus!
Bloody good fun though.
Why us? Cos we're 'ere lad, nobody else.
