They paint up well.
Yes it's a Fieseler Fi 167. It was the projected torpedo aircraft for the Graf Zepplin. It came with attached torp but that came off to allow the magnet to be glued on.
Close, it a Caproni Ca.313. The RAF nearly bought 300 of them but something interupted the deal. :)

I am painting up some 1/200 scale planes and between washing them and priming them, I went over the whole plane with superfine sandpaper. It seems to help. The primer took most of the graininess out of them. Now I'm ruining the effect with paint.

Hi, What did you prime the aircraft with?

Some spray metal primer I got from Bunnings. I tested it on some poorly cast GHQ knock offs that I bought nearly 50 years ago. If sprayed as a fine mist with three coats, it covers up the sponginess and keeps the detail.

After sanding I used a dry broad brush to clean off the fine plastic, quit a lot fell onto the newspaper.

Thanks for that. I might just give a go when I get some more printed aircraft.
