Penda's SYW Expansion Project

Post by Penda »

I thought I'd start a thread to chronicle my SYW project expansion. First up a Cavalry Brigade Command base. The figures are from Wargames Foundry/Casting Rooms Miniatures and are an acquired taste I'd hazard. Base by Warbases of course. There is more to see over on my blog, as you'd expect I hope.

The latest addition to the collection. More as you have come to expect over on my blog. Working, slowly, on another French infantry regiment selected purely because I like the flags.

Splendid stuff. I missed the command base - that's also splendid.

I do like your basing.

A Perry Fanboy writes: Yes, it was very noticeable that the last additions to the Foundry SYW ranges (mainly the British) from a new sculptor, were not up to the high standards of the previous stuff (Copplestone?), hence they kicked the French over to Casting Rooms. That said, CRM's more recent releases, such as the Tudors, have shown marked improvements.

A valid way of selecting any unit I reckon!

By way of a diversion a F&IW battle can be found on the blog at present.

I can't think of a better reason for choosing a regiment, mate. Nice C-G Dragoons, too.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
