A small SYW action

Post by Penda »

Features over on my blog at the moment. Here we see the French commander, the infamous Comte de Merde and his staff at the outset of hostilities ~

Lots more pictures obviously if you pop over for a view. (Next up on Thursday a Crimean War game!)

It's the Westfalia forge one.
It was available from Crann Tara, I'm not sure if it still is now they're owned by Caliver.
[EDIT: Yes it is. https://cranntaraminiatures.co.uk/produ ... ury-coach/ ]

I bought it in 2016 from Cran Tara when Graham owned them at Carronade. It's by Westfalia as Paul says. It was really fiddly to assemble and Phil painted it for me.

Did you research coach colours for the period or go with something that you felt looked right?

I have one in my C18th pile and might get around to it if I get the mojo back to do the army I bought from Graham (at Carronade too but in 2017 or 2018 I think).

Phil painted it for me, so I have no idea of the answer on colour. It looks right to my eye for C18-19th games.

He's found a very nice brown for the wood, that's for sure. :clappy:

Thank you gents.

I dread to think how much Dave will charge. I'll gird me loins and have a peek.
