Well, I didn't buy anything from the Royal Armouries today. They've stopped selling wargames figures, except for GW.

Wasted trip!

I was lucky enough to win the auction for one of the Airfix sketches. It's finally been delivered now I need to get it framed for my fathers birthday :)

That's a nice present, Paul - I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

The RAF refuelling set, mainly because it has the Mosquito, my fathers favourite aircraft from his time. Although he never flew one he went up in one when in the ATC.
As he worked in a model and motorcycle/bicycle shop either side of his time in the RAF it seemed an appropriate 80th birthday present.

It'll look great. Can you post a photo when you've got it framed up ?

I need to buy some picture frames. I just picked up a competition organiser's kit for Kings of War, purely for the Undead figures in it. It includes certificates for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places as well as Best Painted Army and a Sportsmanship award. All my game related photos will look really good with this backdrop.

Speaking of Airfix, I picked up a load of tobacco tins full of 1960's/70's 1/72 Airfix figures today from an antique shop that seems to have the odd toy soldier thing in. Hope to ebay them for more than I paid.

There was also some metal vintage 25mm Romans if anyone is interested?
