It is a bad one, don’t get too many of them days. I think they’ve become quite endangered.

I sighted a few Boomschlongs on my SA trip last winter. Western Diamondbacks are common in my area. Ran one over last August - easily 5-6 feet, so a substantial specimen of its kind. More commonly I come across them on the trails when I'm out in the sticks, tho they're easily avoided and usually give you a courtesy rattle... Would rather deal with snakes than black widow or brown recluse spiders. Not as venomous as Aussie arachnids, but seeing an untreated BR bite being de-breded is less than appetizing.

I think snakes are really quite beautiful. However, two people have recently died from snake bite (in WA & the NT) so it's an admiration best expressed by keeping my distance.

In Breaking News, I've finally (!) negotiated a date for Game One of our Waterloo mini-campaign. In 3 weeks.

I've finished re-reading the rules, the FAQs, and will start to re-watch the Youtube videos. I should get time to run a few drills here to make myself competent with the rules because I KNOW my pals (great chaps that they are) will NOT read the rules.

Reading the rules? That's a bit keen isn't it?

I'm constitutionally unable to not be prepared. ROYGBIV, I know.

It's also the reason I end up ref-ing more games than I really want to. I'll stop here before I start (?) to sound like a martyr.

Is that a euphemism?

I'd prefer whisky (euphemism or not).

You get wine, but I have never been able to ascertain whether it is alcoholic.
