Wine without alcohol is soft drink. Don't get me started on de-caf coffee.

When I worked in Iran, we would buy tins of "Vodka" on the black market to re alcohol Islamic wine and beer. It is apparently quite common. practice.

Fortunately you could consume as much caffeine as you liked.

But it's not what you've already done, where's your ambition?

Harvested copious kilos of Frontenac grape this year - enough to fill 2x eight gallon fermenters when mashed down. Not thinking that the wine would be worth a shit, I had a friend distill the fermented liquid - has yielded about 1.5 gallons of eau de vie, which I shall be collecting tomorrow.

Keen to hear the end results.

A guy I knew in Chile used to make a peach eau de vie, out of curiosity, I put some in a used oak barrel for a decade. To bloody die for, if a little on the rough side.

My Father-in-law used to make grappa, somewhat illegally.
Nasty stuff.
His 'party trick' was to spill some on a lace or linen tablecloth & it would burn but not scorch the material.
I had some thought about introducing it into the petrol tank of my v6 Capri. Fortunately for the car, I never did.

I'm constitutionally unable to not be prepared. ROYGBIV, I know.

It's also the reason I end up ref-ing more games than I really want to. I'll stop here before I start (?) to sound like a martyr.

OK. I give up. ROYGBIV?
