Penda’s Punic Project

Post by Penda »

Image
To celebrate my recent 70th birthday and cock a snook at impending mortality amongst all this Coronavirus malarkey I embarked on a new 28mm project, the Punic Wars. I thought you’d like to see my first completed element, Legio VI, the “Wolf’s Cubs”. Figures are by Aventine Miniatures and bases from Warbases.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Penda has finally been Pun(i)k'ed!

Very nice, I really like Aventines sculpts.

I’m so glad this project isn’t what I thought it was when I misread the thread title

Perfectly proportioned Punes painted precisely :D
That’s an inspiration that is. Hope I’m still painting at 70.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Hope I can afford to get other people to paint for me at 70.

The command stand for Legio VI. The Tribune is from Agema Miniatures, sculpted by Matt, the others are from Aventine Miniatures.
