Yes, the main benefit of a brigade in Reserve Status is that it may provide another ADC for your 'army', and improve your odds of rolling a 'double-six' for yet another additional ADC.

Does GdA have an index, though?

Really annoying omission from the GdB series.

No it doesn't. In it's defence, I could write that the Field of Glory rule books have indices but it actually makes them less useable. This is because many topics are dealt with, in parts, all over the rule book & the index points you to one part that then directs you to another etc. Does your head in.

Some Bright Spark put an extended, exhaustive & very useful index for the FoG Ancient Rules online but no-one's done this for the Renaissance set.......& ECW was our main period this year. I'm still recovering & tend to start at loud noises.

Even without an index it's become my go-to rule set for Napoleonics. I'm also looking forward to trying the SYW version.

Oh, I got that some years ago & didn't love it so I use our home-groan rules.

BTW I found an Index for GdA. Composed by some fan, it runs to 3 pages. I downloaded it some time ago & forgot I had it. I also forget where it came from......some blog?

I started to search & will get back to you if I can send you a link.

Now there's a name you have to be careful with......

Baron Mannshed von Wreckedoften, First Sea Lord of the Bavarian Admiralty.

The SYW version was written by Angus Konstam. And yes, it's definitely a title to be careful with!
