Ayton Travel Plans
Ayton Travel Plans
Morning all
At this stage I had hoped to be able to tell you that I had confirmed a booking at the lodge and timed my UK trip to coincide with Ayton
Having been at the first I wanted to be at the 10th and catch up with all my mates here again
At the moment I am afraid that I cannot do this
I currently have the time off booked and flights held by the travel agent
The problem is the Corona virus whatyoumacall it thingee
The reality of the situation is that as things stand I'm not that keen on flying through HK and we've looked at more expensive alternative routes and have other flights held. The problem is the insurance status - if because of this pandemic flights are cancelled then we will not be able to get these refunded so at present we're reluctant to part with the money
So for the moment we're going to take it week by week waiting to see what happens and if all goes ok will book flights to arrive in time at a later date but that means that I cannot still confirm my attendance. We're letting the flight bookins we have on hold go for the moment
With apologies to Iain in particular but I'll keep you posted

It would be a bummer if you can't make it. If you can I am sure that we can get you into the games. There's room for a tent in Peeler's garden.
I know when to go out
I know when to stay in

Sorry to hear this, Kerry.
I don't suppose swimming is an option?

Could you ride on a crocodile? Hopefully it'll sort itself out & you'll be able to book up.

Wuss. Just come through HK and do everything you can to pick up the virus. Come to Ayton and infect everyone else.
Then you all get quarantined at Peeler's for a fortnight. What a fun adventure that would be !

We could bill it as "a farting fortnight"!

What a bummer.
Family and health must come first though. Very responsible of you, bro.
Iain
Ps. Two weeks locked up with Peeler? Corvid-19 would be the least of your worries.

Yes an holiday at Mr Peeler's Quality Tat Emporium Holiday sheds with authentic open sewers and stream water sounds invigoratingWg Cdr Luddite wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:05 am Wuss. Just come through HK and do everything you can to pick up the virus. Come to Ayton and infect everyone else.

Its not a wuss thing though, its a money thing. 2 cancelled flights from NZ (cancelled by others - insurance would be invalidated)is eye wateringly expensive
Then the other hassle is that if I did catch the virus i'd be stopped from working for a lengthy period of time
