Who not save a load of money and just spray your table blue ?

Alternatively, I can just wear blue-tinted sunglasses & have someone constantly splash me with water whilst gaming.
There's a thin line between cheap & spendthrift but it's palpable.

There appears to be a mis-communication here which is obviously my fault so I shall re-phrase my suggestion;
If you colour your table blue you can place your land mats on top of it to ceate the coastline you desire.

This is what I use for my sea, 54 inches x 108 inches or 4 .5 feet x 9 feet.

I've thought about your suggestion & I don't think it'd work for me. Some sort of flat blue coat of paint would look fairly ordinary & I guess you mean I should use my (non-existent) artistic talent to paint a realistic seascape with various blue & grey shapes, flicks of sea-foam etc.

Sadly, this is just beyond me to do well in any sort of reasonable time frame. Thanks for your suggestion but buying a mat is a better option for me.
