Cheers all.

John. Other than being patient .... I block out the patterns in black first and then paint over that leaving enough of a black edge to outline it. Also for fine work I usually thin the paint with flow improver rather than water which gives more control.

Can't wait to see this awesome looking army assembled and in the field. Beautiful work on the Thracians, as always, Simon.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

I've always found that flow improver just makes the paint greasy, form into blobs, and generally refuse to coat the model properly (like using watercolours on Airfix plastics when I was a nipper). What am I doing wrong?

Brendan, I guess it might do that for larger areas. I only use it for really fine work such as lettering or symbols, where it seems to help with the err.. flow of tiny amounts of paint on the brush. For normal painting I just use water.

I think you've mixed up your laxatives with your flow improver
How's your toiletting? :?

So the basic corridor sections are now done. Next to do are junctions, rooms and doors. Had Ayton been happening in a few weeks these would all be done by now, but I’ve allowed myself to get very distracted over the last month.. here’s some pics and a quick vid uploaded to Goat TV
